Intermittent fasting while pregnant??

Google has helped very minimally on this subject. I am 21 weeks pregnant and I know that my baby is very healthy. I just forgot to ask my OB at our last appointment about IF. Have any of you mamas done IF during your pregnancy and or while breastfeeding?? I have gained 16 pounds and I am plus size and I wanna help minimize the gain.

I just asked my doctor yesterday if I could IF while pregnant and she said yes. Just get enough calories in your window.

Honestly I eat constantly. Because of heartburn at night I started skipping dinner for a little while... which meant I was only eating between 7am and 4pm. So I was doing that but not to loose weight just bc that is what worked for me.

most people fast without realizing it because they eat early dinners and skip breakfast or do late breakfast. I’d say as long as you’re getting your calories, and you aren’t doing full day fasts, you should be fine.
