How did you know when you were really ready?

I see posts of positive pregnancy tests, announcements, bump progress and birth stories and it gives me a hint of baby fever. But when I look at my son and think about where he's at developmentally and the way his birth went, i know I'm not ready to add a second baby yet.

Yes Im on birth control and will be until I feel ready for a second baby. Im asking because my husband wants #2 already and I don't.
