Pain advice?

I had my first baby this past Tuesday at 1:29 a.m. .. and I was not ready for the PAIN that is breastfeeding. He’s eating and latching well, but my boobs aren’t taking it well. 
My milk has been coming in and the throbbing from that and the pain while he feeds is unreal. I want to scream 😭
I know it gets better, but any pain advice in the meantime? Thank you!!

Lanolin cream, a drop of your milk on your nipple after each feeding, ice packs and patience. Takes a few weeks to get use to it !  
Also this helped me understand how much of my boob needs to be in his mouth.

If your nipples are cracked you can get a prescription for dr jack newman cream, I hear it’s amazing!

A prescription nipple cream and patience. Takes about a month for those bad boys to build callouses.

After i had my son in April, my boobs were very engorged and I was in so much pain. I stuck these in the freezer and in between feeds i stuck them in my bra. They really helped!

The pain goes away - but he doesn't look like he's latched properly from that photo. See a LC

Nipple shields!! I found the pain really came from things touching my breasts so nipple shields protect from that. Secondly nipple cream. Also if you are pumping, make sure your flange size is correct, I found that what was causing my pain.
