When did you discuss birth plans with your midwife?

I'm only 29 weeks, the next time I see my midwife I'll be 32 weeks. Just wondering when I'll be able to start it all 🤷🏽‍♀️😊

Never got that far! Baby arrived at 36 weeks and my midwife appointment was set for the following day
I really wouldn’t worry too much
There’s info on the NHS website and a template you can fill in if you want to. Useful if you have particular requests/concerns/needs
Otherwise what happens will probably take you by surprise anyway!

I'm 39 weeks and it's never been mentioned lol its my second tho so maybe that's why. I didn't plan the first time tho it's just goes however its going to go anyway in the end regardless of any plans

There is an NHS birth plan template you can search for then print out and fill.in whenever you are ready. Most of it you can do yourself, but there are a few sections that say "after discussion with my midwife...." so you can fill those bits in with her. 
I had mine filled in for my 34 week appointment, but she said we would discuss it at 36 weeks.

I think the norm is 36 weeks. 😊
I would recommend googling some birth plans and get familiar with all the terms and such so you already have an opinion if you want the injection for your placenta, or if baby will get the vitamin k via injection or orally. 
There is ofcourse loads of other things to consider and researched. It really helped me which then meant it took no time at all to discuss it with my midwife 😊

I kept bringing it up as I wanted a c section and was freaking about potentially not getting one. I kept getting told we would discuss at 34 weeks.
So much can change in late stages of pregnancy, so it's almost a bit pointless making decisions before that point as so many things can change x

It’s usually 36 weeks but I have asked for it to be earlier this time because my daughter came at 35 weeks and I had no plan at all.

I didn’t actually get to discuss my birth plan with my midwife and I only saw her twice during the whole pregnancy. I saw her at 8 weeks and at 32 weeks. The other 2/3 appts I had were with random people covering her. I’m not sure why I didn’t see her at 36 weeks but my waters went at 36+4 and I had to scribble down some guidelines on a bit of paper 😂 I’d recommend doing it early just in case. Mine ended up being bullet points of what I did and didn’t want to happen ie delayed cord clamping, pain relief
