skipping periods
hey! i take sronyx (a 28 day cycle bc pill) but i take it in a continuous manner in order to skip my period for 3 months. i’ve been doing this for about 8 months now without missing a single dose. this time around, though, i tried to skip a 4th month because i went on vacation. this failed epically. i had breakthrough spotting (pinkish light brown color) and minor cramps for 3 days before i was planning on skipping my withdrawal week. then when my placebo week started, i went straight into a new pack. the spotting got worse and turned into very dark brown, almost black discharge. it looked like extremely old blood. it was also moderately heavy, i went through about 2 pads per day for 12 DAYS!! it was terrible. at first, with the pink discharge, i was worried about pregnancy because i heard about implantation bleeding. does the fact it got heavier mean i’m not pregnant? it’s old blood, which is what scares me. i haven’t had a true “withdrawal” bleed since april, but i’m supposed to have a withdrawal bleed next week. the last time i had sex was june 5th. i’m almost positive he pulled out. now (3 weeks later and 1 week after the breakthrough bleeding), i feel a little nauseas and my nipples are a little sore. i also have some back pain. i’m so anxious about this whole thing because i really don’t want to be pregnant. i’m only 16 and i’m not ready for a baby right now. i really don’t know what’s wrong with me and it’s making my anxiety go crazy. maybe the symptoms are from stress, because this is all i’ve been thinking about. could the extra hormones be causing these symptoms? like a hormone imbalance or something? i forget what it feels like to even have a withdrawal bleed since it’s been 4 months. could these symptoms be just because i have the placebo week coming up in 5 days? i have never missed a pill and i take it at the same time every single day. i’m so confused on what’s wrong with me. ever since i got back from my vacation, i haven’t felt the same. due to the time zone change, i took my pill 6 hours earlier than normal. now that i’m back home, i’ve been taking the pill at the normal time. there’s also other factors like jet-lag and soreness from sitting so long (10 hour flight...ew) that could be causing my symptoms. i just wish i wasn’t a big worrier. could just take a pregnancy test, but what if it’s positive? i don’t even want to think about that. so before i test, i just wanted to gather some outside opinions. thank you for reading my extremely long story, i really appreciate your support and care :) HELP!
