Can your water break meanwhile laying down?

Such a stupid question I know but...from what Ive been hearing in people’s stories when their water breaks people are standing. 
Has this not happened to anyone?
I’ve been getting BH and more pressure laying on my sides for awhile so I’m just curious...

Yes, it can break in your sleep for example.
But, a lot of times your water doesn't break until later in labor. It's actually pretty rare to have you water break as the first sign of labor like they show in the movies.

My sisters waters broke whilst she was lying down in bed. With both kids.

Mine broke overnight but it was a small tear at the top of the amniotic bag so it was just a slow leak and I couldn’t tell if it was amniotic fluid or not 😂 it finally broke fully later that night when labor was in full swing.
