Has anyone had a miscarriage after seeing your babies heartbeat at 6 weeks?

I have a scan on Wednesday I’ll be 6 weeks. 
Is it safe to announce or can things still go wrong

You can announce whenever you feel comfortable with it. There's always the small risk of something happening, but after seeing a heartbeat the risk drops significantly

Once you see the heartbeat, your chances of miscarriage go down quite a bit, although it is still possible. For announcing, I would think of it this way: tell the people you won’t mind telling (or will want to know) if something does go wrong. I had a missed miscarriage last summer at 8 weeks and had told some friends and family that I was pregnant when I was 7 weeks along. I was grateful that people who were close to me knew about the pregnancy because they were then my support system through the miscarriage.
