I think my baby, my one and only child, my little girl...is getting her first period soon. Maybe I’m over thinking this. Please tell me if I’m going nuts. She’ll be turning 10 in September, so maybe it’s still early. Idk. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I didn’t get my first cycle till I was 12. But one of my sisters started at 9. 😳 So these are the signs she’s showing:

-Extremely moody: Happy one min and in tears the next. Gets upset so easily and then is happy again the next. It’s so unpredictable And when I ask her why she’s upset or sad...she says she doesn’t know. Breaks my heart cuz she’s usually such a happy kid. And we have a super open relationship.

-Budding breast that are sore

-Underarm hair: Some are already very dark and visible.

-Clear “sticky” discharge. Sometimes on her underwear too.

-Abdominal cramps on occasion

-And she grew about 3 inches in height since her last yearly physical last summer. 😨

We had the talk already about what to do so she can be prepared just in case. I’m just wondering if it could happen any day now?? I wish she could stay my baby forever. 😭
