Period suddenly irregular after stopping birth control 1 year ago

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone has some insight into what’s going on. I stopped taking birth control almost a year ago. I am 23 if that helps at all. Everything has been regular up until a couple months ago. This month my period is late by 6 days and still no sign except my cravings. I have a feeling I will get it soon and all negative pregnancy tests. I do not think I am pregnant either. This happen back in May and my period was 8 days late then really heavy the first 2 days and was my normal 7 days length. The last couple months it has either been on time or late by 2-3 days. Has anyone experienced this after stopping birth control? Is my body just that sensitive to stress or something? I will go to the doctor if need be I just don’t have time off right now. My mind is going to the worst places right now since my younger cousin was recently diagnosed with PCOS and I’ve been reading up on it. Any advice would help. TIA!
