Does anyone know how common a missed miscarriage is?

Very uncommon as in only 1% of miscarriages are missed.

A miscarriage in general is about 1 out of every 4 pregnant women. I’m not sure how many of those 25% experience missed miscarriage as opposed to a different type though.

I’ve had 3 missed miscarriages all after 8 weeks, found out after the 3rd it was due to my PCOS and low progesterone.

I had one, 1 of my 5 pregnancies (other 4 were healthy) discovered 2nd ultrasound. But I don't know anyone else who has had one. Most of my friends had bleeding and knew something was wrong. So I don't think they're very common at all.

During the first trimester the rates are 10-15%, after week 6 the risk of miscarriage drops to 10%. By week 12 it drops to less than 5% chance. About 80% of miscarriages happen during the first trimester and having a recurrent miscarriage has a rate of less than 1%.
