How was your plus size delivery?

I’m obese (250lb) and 36 weeks. I’m curious to hear how other plus size deliveries went. Were you able to have a vaginal birth? Were you able to get a successful epidural? I’d love to hear your experiences! Thank you ladies ❤️

At the time of my son's birth, I weighed 275. I had no epidural(my choice due to already having back pain and fear of needles) I was in labor for 10 hours and pushed for 2 1/2 hours (I was really sleepy and just trying to sleep) but had no problems whatsoever other than with nurses who didn't like that I'm a stomach sleeper so I leaned towards my belly not my back which made things difficult for monitoring

I was around 250. I went into labor naturally and made it to a 7. The pain and exhaustion was too much so I got a epidural then. No issues and baby was born vaginally 21 hours in labor only 1 hour of pushing. Hope this reassured you! I am 33 weeks with my 2nd baby!! You can do this!! I do suggest going natural as long as you can to let your body progress. Good luck!!

With my daughter I was 245 and had 0 problems with her both aside from my water broke without contractions & they had to use pitocin to get things moving. 100% fine with the epidural & it was a very easy labor (well as easy as labor can be). Water broke around 5am, delivered vaginally about 15hrs later (only started contracting with pitocin around 10-12ish)

Mine went perfectly fine! I was like 290 when I gave birth. They did have to eventually put in an internal contraction monitor cuz it kept slipping around on my belly

Epidural and vaginal birth here. You will be fine. Don't let your mind think your weight will effect your birth!
