Christian who is considering sex?

Question

Not looking for any judgement on religion. Just wanted some advice. My boyfriend and I are both very religious. We both are Christians and are leaders at church. Both virgins. And both tempted to take the dive and do it. But I just feel this sense of guilt. Should I do it or wait? Help!

If you’re not sure then wait! I’m Christian and so is my now fiancé. We both had sex the first time we met after talking on the phone for a couple months. It doesn’t make you any lesser of a person. People just have different views on sex before marriage

I’m not religious at all, and never have been. But no one can make the decision for you. It’s something you have to decide between you. 
If you see it as “taking the dive” and thinking of having sex just to get it out the way, then that’s not a good reason to do it.
You should have sex because you want to. If that involves waiting, then wait.

I dont believe it to be something you would regret unless it were with a person that's not special to you. Its not a crime if there is mutual love and trust; it is simply a physical representation of both of those things. And its a beautiful one at thay

I’ve known many Christians who engaged in premarital sex and didn’t regret it afterwards. Some continued to lie to their families about being pure (which is wrong), but other were honest. They felt more themselves— they didn’t allow their religion to define who they were or decide how they’d live.

You should wait. It’s never worth it, it’s something til this day i kind of regret. I wish i could have waited until marriage. That way i wouldn’t give away a piece of myself each time I slept with the wrong boy.

No one can answer that question but you. Personally, I’m not religious but when first considering sex, I was also worried about regretting it and feeling guilty. The guy I lost my virginity to is not the guy I’m with today, but I honestly don’t regret it at all. I was only scared because I was taught to be scared. But once I disregarded the public and got down to how my heart felt, there was no guilt or shame. 
And honestly, I know everyone makes it seem like losing your virginity is so life changing and like you’ll never be the same after it, but that’s not true. You have sex, and then life continues on the way it always has. But make the decision that is best for you. Disregard the church and focus on yourself and your own personal relationship with God. Please wait. It will be worth it and you won’t have the guilt. This is the reason so many couples in our church marry quickly, to have sex 😂 also set yourselves an agreement like never stay at each others house, no netflix and chills etc
