Job problems
I was recommended for a new job position in my current company but with a different department. I did all the relevant paper work and was told verbally I had the job, but to start the new job I had to hand in my resignation. I’d still be employed with the company but I had to hand over things in my current department. I did this and officially worked my last day yesterday but today I haven’t heard from the new department for a contract. The new department has asked me to come in on Monday but I’m worried I’ve made a big mistake due to the lack of communication from them. Am I just being a worry wart? Is this standard practice for some companies? I’ve never moved department before but I’m now so anxious!
