I am 11 weeks pregnant. Just found out I have a high risk pregnancy because my Rhesus negative blood type started producing low levels of antibodies against positive blood types. If my baby has an Rh positive factor and our blood mixes, my antibodies may start attacking my baby. This could cause severe anemia, preterm birth, and other scary things.

I won’t know the baby’s blood type till birth so the only thing doctors can do is monitor my antibody levels by taking my blood every 3 weeks. If complications occur, they say I may need to deliver early.

Has anyone had to deal with Rh negative blood type pregnancy complications?
