Convertible car seat?

Has anyone put their January baby into a convertible car seat yet? My son hates the car seat so I never leave him in there and it’s so heavy to carry. I feel like the convertible car seats are safer too (no idea if that is true lol). I’m considering it!

He has been since he was 2 months and he loves it! He would cry in his other car seats and he’s a chunky baby. It was to heavy to carry him and I would take him out so we switched.

If i didn’t have a 2 year old too I’d probably switch but if I need to run after the little escape artist i wouldn’t be able to easily put the baby down like I can now in the infant seat!

My baby has been in a convertible since she was 3 months! My infant seat was way to heavy to carry and with the convertible (peg perago) she can actually look out of the window which she loves!

We made the switch in my car a few weeks ago because work schedules changed and grandma is watching him a few days a week now and needed a car seat. Instead of buying another base she has mine. I totally think his Grace 4ever is safer. We had borrowed his infant see from someone, knew it hadn’t been in an accident or anything like that, but it didn’t have any support once we took the infant liner part out. I love his “big boy seat”. He was getting too heavy to carry in the carrier anyway.

We’re thinking of making the switch in a month or so!! The car seat we have now is only good for up to 35 lbs and our five month old is already twenty lbs. Also, he’s just to heavy to be carried around in the current car seat.

As long as the car seat weight/height rules fit your kid (and your seat is rear facing) they are all safe :) I don't drive much so she is still in the bucket but if I were you, I would get a convertible seat.
