UPDATE: I took the monistat 1 last night with no problems. Then woke up this morning and it was WORSE than my original symptoms. Intense itching burning and when I had to pee I cried on the toilet. However I got some vagisil which helped and now it’s bedtime and I don’t have any itchiness or pain but still some discharge. Has anyone taken Monistat 1? How long should it clear up and when should I call my doctor if it’s still there? I have to say I’ve never had a yeast infection and this is fucked up- I didn’t even realize I had one it was just itchy and my boyfriend went to go down on me and was like uhhh I think you have a yeast infection I was like no way I don’t get those 😂 it was like straight liquidy cottage cheese and itching and burning we ladies have it so bad sometimes 😭 then tonight boyfriend walked in on me putting cream and ice pack on my vagina and was like wow I’m sorry LOL so any tips for this work week when I have to be sitting at a desk all day would be helpful- and can I still workout??

ORIGINAL POST: I’ve never had a yeast infection and I have clumpy white discharge, itching, and burning. I was at the doctors a couple weeks ago and got tested for STI’s and everything was fine so I’m guessing it’s a yeast infection? There’s no odor or discoloration. Is it okay if I get an OTC medication or do I have to call my doctor? They aren’t open for another 2 days. Also does anyone have anything they do to help with the itching/ burning and does the OTC meds really help??
