Do you take your 8 month old to the movies?

Lion king is coming out soon and I’m contemplating on seeing it in theaters.

In Canada they do a certain day that’s called stars and strollers and they keep the lights up and lower the movies volume and cause it’s a bunch of moms no one cares about some crying

We just watched Daniel’s second movie ever yesterday, Toy story 4. It was loud and I was worried about it but he wasn’t bothered. He did move around a lot in my arms at first. He drank his bottle on my lap and after awhile he fell asleep on my chest. It was the sweetest thing being able to take my step daughter to the movies and having my baby sleep in my arms. We’re going to try again with secret life of pets 2 so he can get used to the whole movie experience. I say go for it! If you need to leave the theater will give you a refund.

We just took my little guy and his big sisters to see Toy Story 4. I brought toys and teethers in case he got antsy and he was so good. He was fairly quiet and did not cry once. It really all depends on the temperament of your baby. My guy is pretty chill. My girls weren’t as babies so there was no way I was taking them to the movies at only 7-8 months old.

My lil girl is way too wiggly and active for me to enjoy actually watching a whole movie. I would suggest maybe am early show time where other parents will likely have littles and be more understanding if lo is loud and stuff

My other daughter wants to see toy story, but I’m afraid to take my 8 mo because that’s a long time to sit still and I can’t just leave my 6 year old in a movie by herself to take care of baby (Husband works out of town), so I’m in the same boat.

I’m not sure if all cinemas do it, but my local offers special sessions with dim lighting and the sound lower so it’s more comfortable for young kids. Could be an option.

I bring my little girl to movies. Her 9 year old brother is a big movie fan! We get the first showing and she usually sleeps through it!
