Forgetting to take you’re prenatal - is it bad?

Sometimes I’ll forget to take my prenatal at night, I’ll fall asleep early and miss it. It rarely happens but does it effect the baby when I miss it?

I’ve missed mine a bunch lately. Plus they are so darn big to swallow! But baby will steal whatever nutrients it needs from you, so it’s probably worse for yourself than baby.

I forgot to take mine the last trimester and most of the second 😶.

I had hyperemisis so I didn’t take them until 22 weeks.  Hyperemisis came back with a vengeance so now I’ve stopped taking them again at 26 weeks.  As long as you’re making healthy food choices, baby should be getting plenty of nutrients.  If you’re making poor food choices, then maybe set an alarm on your phone to help remember.

I have am and pm tablets to take and some days I forget both and some I only manage to remember one but I try to keep up. It’s okay to miss some

I didnt take mine a few nights. Like last night I was puking before bed so I didnt even bother putting anything else in my stomach because i finally had some relief from nausea. I went ans got tbe gummy ones today because my pill ones are too big and i choke and gag on them.

After the first few weeks, prenatals are mostly to make sure you have enough vitamins. Baby will always get what they need, even if they need to take the calcium straight out of your bones. Always remember that if you eat a balanced diet you're getting plenty of vitamins! Prenatals are just to fill in the gaps. 😊

I’m surprised that people voted yes😂 there are days where I’ve done the same! I just forget and then fall asleep. Your diet is still giving you (at least it should be) enough vitamins and nutrients for the days when you forget🤷🏻‍♀️ people have been getting pregnant and having healthy babies long before the invention of supplements.

Accidentally clicked yes - meant to say no! Missing some here or there isn’t going to harm baby, at least later into the pregnancy. It’s mostly to make sure that baby isnt sucking all the minerals that you need to stay healthy. I missed a whole two weeks due to nausea and barely even drinking water around 7 weeks. I’m currently 22 weeks and have a pretty good week if I remember to take mine 5 out of the 7 days. Probably average 4/7 though. Life gets busy! Try to eat the majority of healthy stuff to help yourself out.
