Gripe water?? Helppp

I’m pretty sure my baby is having really bad acid reflux I’ve noticed a few symptoms since a few weeks nothing too serious I thought I was being over worried (he’s 6 weeks old) but the symptoms have gotten worse now I feel horrible.I started giving him mylicon drops since about 2/3 weeks now and they help with his gas but not with whatever this is -Which I’m 90% sure is acid reflux 
His symptoms are coughing,Spitting up,choking,tightening his body while eating,being fussy while eating,Hiccups and decreased appetite he also makes these weird noises while trying to eat/drink his bottle. 
Does gripe water/gripe drops help acid reflux and how soon do they work?? Is he not old enough to take grip drops I need any kind of answers please and thanks in advance !!!

Doctor can put your baby on Zantac for reflux. It will not stop the symptoms but will reduce acid in their belly so when the milk comes up it does not burn the throat and leave them uncomfortable. I have had to put both sons on it. Sounds like your son has silent reflux!

It could be reflux, talk to your pediatrician If it's reflux, I don't think gripe water will help much, he'll need Zantac. My son was having similar symptoms to your baby's but it is bc he swallows too much air when I breastfeed him due to a forceful letdown and that causes him to spit up a lot and have discomfort. You can try burping your baby more during feeds in addition to gas drops and see if it helps. Also holding him upright for a bit after feeds before setting him down can help. I personally do gas drops like 2 times a day and drink a lot of chamomile tea during the day to pass the benefits through my milk. Then I put a just few drops of fennel tea in a bedtime bottle to help ease his tummy and it has eased him a lot since at night his symptoms were the worst. That's usually what's in gripe water anyway (fennel extract), I prefer it since it doesn't have all the extra preservatives and sweeteners. My pediatrician gave me the ok for it, but you should talk to yours and see what they advise you.

I give my baby a different kind of gripe water called Colic Calm, its black though but I find it works to help my baby release tension in her stomach and makes her feel better. Its harmless to them and has more organic oils to help ease their discomfort. I'm not sure if it would fix reflux, but you could try it! Gripe water is not meant to help with reflux. Take him to the doctor. They can prescribe a medication to help with his reflux with symptoms that severe
