I never got my. Back when I was exclusively breastfeeding with my son and then I got on birth control after my 6-week postpartum check and never got it after that as well

I had a friend go in for her 6 week check up and she was pregnant. She hadn't had a period, was EBF, and not on BC yet... Drs said she ovulated roughly two weeks after her daughter's birth and got pregnant from that. 
Just because you don't have a period, doesn't mean you're not ovulating.

You could be, but it’s very unlikely. 
If your baby isn’t going more than 4 hours during the day or more than every 6 hours during the night without nursing, you should be covered by LAM (Lactactional Amenorrhea). It’s 97-98% effective when all the guidelines are followed. The hormones your body produces while breastfeeding naturally suppressed ovulation.
