Polymenorrhea

Hi all just wanted to share this with you as it’s not something I’ve heard of before but GP just told me I’m suffering with menorrhagia (heavy periods) and polymenorrhea which is used to described cycles less than 3 weeks. Mine have been like that for most of this year, the last being a 2 week cycle. I put it down to being in perimenopause but I’ve been told there could be several different underlying causes and must be checked out by a transvaginal ultrasound. I’ve got the referral and will update you but just wanted to get the message out that if you have less than 3 week cycles then please see your GP to have it checked out.
