No make up?!

Hospital doctors did advice to come in to a scheduled c-section without applying lotion and make up. Upon watching on YouTube, all the women on there have make up on! I was hoping to get some nice pictures during the process 😁

That’s the least of their concern is how you look, and shouldn’t be a major concern of yours. 
A lot request no nail polish and no make up.

Someone planning on posting their c section on YouTube for strangers to see is likely more concerned about how they look than the typical person. Makeup was the last thing on my mind. The cleaner you are, the better, because they want the surgical area to be sterile. Powders and fragrances etc is better avoided.

They want you lotion and makeup free for a reason, it's not something you should be particularly concerned of. They tell you it's a no no.

Good luck with that. When you are having a baby, make up is the laat thing that should be on your mind. You and the surgical area need to be sterile.

I literally looked like I rose from the dead in the pictures taken during/after my csection. Now I was in labor for 84hrs previous to my csection but I still couldnt care less. It's a lifetime memory and absolutely nobody who sees the picture thinks "wow you have no makeup on and your hairs a mess" and if they do they've never had a child. your family couldnt care less and your baby couldnt care less..it should be the least of your worries.

When I had a different surgery last year, they explained that the no make-up, perfume, hair products, nail polish etc..  was for multiple different reasons. 
For one, there is a lot of equipment being used, and some of those products are flammable. They want to eliminate any risk of starting a fire, no matter how minimal. 
Another reason, is that small particles from those products could potentially flake off and enter your wound, causing infection. 
While these risk are small, they are still risks that are much better off being eliminated.

As long as you don't put make up on your baby bump you should be perfectly fine ;)
