How did you tell your significant other youre prego??

This was cycle #29 TTC#2.
I found out the day my husband and son were driving back from visiting family from out of state. I drove to 12, yes 12 stores trying to find a big bro shirt in our sons size and struck out. Then I tried to find the big brother book I bought 2 years ago to have our son take to Dad to read to him... Couldn't find it. 
So finally the next day my husband was taking a nap before work, our son asked me to draw a picture, so we drew a picture of Mom, dad, him, 2 cats, dog, and bird (7 total between people and animals). I them wrote Last Name Party of 8 across the bottom. Had him take it to dad, my husband read it, told him it was cute, and then was like wait... 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.... Wait!? Are you pregnant!?

Well my husband was the one that told me lol 
I took the test and left it in the bathroom and while I waited I went to the living room to watch TV. He went into the bathroom a few minutes later. I'm assuming he saw the test and yelled out "WHEN DID YOU TAKE THIS TEST?" I said this morning! He then said "ASH WE DID IT!" I ran into the bathroom, saw the positive test, we both cried and hugged there in the bathroom lol

After testing negative at 8 DPO and assuming it was another unsuccessful attempt, I had a feeling that I should test again on the day my period was due. I got my BFP right as my husband walked in the door with a pack of White Claw and sushi (I literally couldn’t make this up). My response was a beat of silence followed by “...DAMMIT!” It took him a minute to realize why I was pissed that he had surprised me with two of my favorite things 😂😂 Not the most romantic story but 100% in step with our relationship 👍

I feel kinda bad about mine. I ran out of the bathroom at 6 AM and yelled “we effed up!!!!”  In my defence, we were naive enough to think that in our 30s, it would take us months of TTC and we don’t even live together yet. Luckily he has a great sense of humour, and just jumped out of bed and started exclaiming about what a potent, virile male species he is and warned me to keep everything away from his crotch region because it could get anything pregnant 🤦‍♀️ we will probably be making up a cover story for this to tell our son/daughter one day 😂

Our son was born 3.14.18 (PI Day!) When I calculated this due date its 3.14.20. So I bought a pie and stuck a note on it saying “Another PI baby” and gave him the test.

Both of my announcements were food related. The first one I bought these fortune cookies off of Etsy (I had this planned a while) and i pocked up Chinese takeout on the way home and switched out all the cookies so he would HAVE to get one that says “you’re going to be a dad!!” And this pregnancy I made a pizza and cut the pepperonis to say “we are due with baby  (Last name here) #2” he was surprised with both!

I’ve had this announcement ready since last year and the day I found out I gave him the box as soon as he came home from work. The color on his face drained 😂😂😂 I think he thought it would take us a good 5-7 years to get pregnant. He wasn’t expecting it even after 3 years of trying ahhaha. Nevertheless he is happy 😊

My husband and I aren’t particularly romantic but it works for us lol... when he proposed he walked into our bedroom right after I woke up (pjs, dragon breath, and dried slobber on my face). So when I found out I was pregnant I just walked out of the bathroom and handed him the stick.
