Edit: What’s with all the csections?
This is in NO WAY A SHAMING POST. But I’m super curious of why 95% of the posts I’ve read are women having csections? Some in which aren’t for legitimate health reasons. I just saw one where a mom was giving birth and they wouldn’t let her push for more than 2 hours and told her they highly recommended the csection because it would take her at least another hour to push the baby out. Most of them seem to be for convenience. Anybody know why Doctors are pushing them so hard to deliver by csection?
Again, NOT a shaming post. I was just curious if anyone knows why it’s becoming way more frequent?
Edit to add: I saw the one comment that said I was shaming and want to thank everyone who has given good information on the topic. I’m in no way questioning the validity of NEEDING a caesarean in any way. I know there are circumstances in every situation that could lead to a csection at the end of this. And that some people HAVE to have them. But it’s terrifying being weeks from birth and knowing that it could be pushed with an agenda for efficiency and not actual medical reasoning. That was all I was saying. Please keep the information coming. I love reading your stories and experiences!
