Trying to get fit

My goal is to run a 5k in oct.. but also want to tone myself and get some muscle.. I’ve always been small and picked on for it. I’ve always hid myself because of it. I’ve made fhis goal to so that I can get in shape for my daughter and be able to play and run without running out of breath so easy. Anyone else in the process or have done it before? I need some tips on eating and things!
