Traveling

We are debating on taking a 7-8 hour road trip with our 4 week old. We wanted to rent a small motorhome so it would be a little easier to travel with her. But we arent sure its even a good idea or not.

Has anyone traveled in a motorhome with a 1 month old? How does the carseat thing work? I've read that is not recommended in some of the motorhome seats because they swivel and move. I dont like the thought of not having her strapped into a chair though.
