I chipped a tooth while I was pregnant with my son and had it looked at a year after he was born but couldn't afford to have it pulled, filled, or anything. Now that I'm pregnant with my second the tooth has gotten worse. It hurts a lot more making it difficult to eat. It is turning gray and has a hole. I have used over the counter benzocain to rub on the tooth and took Tylenol.

I have been warned that it is dangerous to get dental work while pregnant and I would like to avoid it if possible. I wanted to ask if there is anything else I could use to treat the pain?
