Does your OB check for dilation after the first time?

Question

Once your OB checks for dilation do they typically check each week after they do? 
I had my first son at 36 weeks so I never got to the point where they checked me I just got checked now with my second when I was 36 weeks I was dilated to 1 and I see my OB on Monday I’ll be 37 weeks 1 day will she check for dilation again? 
Side note: lost a piece of my mucus plug and slowly losing little pieces (I know it regenerates) but will she Check me if I mention that?

Every place has a different policy. I was checked at 35 weeks. My doctor will not check until I’m in labor unless there is a problem.

My midwives only check if I want them too. I don’t get checked till after 40weeks.

If she checked at 36 weeks you will be checked at every appointment typically 🙃

I got mine checked at my 35 week appointment and she said she will check me again at 38 weeks unless I ask for it or I have reasons as to why its needed.
