Anyone else experience this?

I’m having another baby in about 3 weeks. In the last few weeks my 19 month old has been extremely clingy to me. She has been sleeping through the night and getting herself to sleep for a while now, but it seems lately at bedtime she needs extra cuddles and even sometimes rocked to sleep. Then she will wake up in the night and need to be physically touching me to get back to sleep. Can she sense the change coming?

I believe that it could be separation anxiety it peeks again at this age. My daughter is doing the same and I am not expecting again yet. She is also doing this to her dad.

Same thing is happening to me, my new  baby is due in 4 weeks and my 18 month old who isn't usually clingy has changed of of a sudden! All he says now is "I want my mummy". He likes to extra cuddle and touch before sleeping. And he wasn't usually like this because I drop him with my mum and go to work.

My son was born 9 days ago and my 20 month old daughter was (and still is) extremely clingy to me. Before the baby was born, I was home more (teacher on summer break), so she was used to having me around. Since the baby was born, she sees me holding, changing, nursing, etc him and just wants to be included. Clingyness aside, she loves being a big sister! Congratulations, and good luck!

I’m 30 weeks now, but my daughter has been the same. I wasn’t sure if she was sending a change coming (we try to tell her about little brother) or if it’s just a sleep regression with the age?
