Does your toddler use a high chair or a booster seat at home?

Our almost 2 year old tantrums often in his high chair. Like full on fling around like crazy. Usually it's because he saw us preparing/cooling the food and doesn't understand why it's not on his plate yet or due to some of his sensory needs.
A lot of people I know switch to a booster seat around 2 and I was curious what you all are doing? 
I'll admit I'm a little nervous he'd tantrum and the entire chair will topple over : /

Kind of neither, we have only a low table so usually she just stands to eat, but we did have the kind of high chair that goes on a regular chair so since her younger cousin was visiting and we had it out, she’s been enjoying using it. So technically it’s a “high chair,” but we use it on the floor, and she’s never strapped in. We also don’t put the tray on until her food is ready, and we have her get in the seat by herself and wait for the tray.

Son is still in his high chair. I will be switching him to the booster seat whe his little sister is old enough to use the high chair.

I still use the hair chair at home, and a booster when we're  on vacation.    What if you have his spoon/fork and sippy cup ready  and on his high chair before you put him  so he can associate  foods coming?  And  then transition  to the booster after that?

I always put the food on the table first and then get my toddler seated - because she has no patience! If she keeps pestering me during the preparations too much, I'll give her small tasks, like giving her all the spoons to be put on the table one by one, get her to fetch something, or in dire situations to put unnecessary utensils/plastic plates onto the table and then I'll just ask her to take them off the table and put them into the sink 😅

My daughter sits in a regular chair. We bought a device that raises the chair to table height for her.

She sits in her rocking chair. We only have a coffee table though... if we go out she sits in a booster seat.

My daughter went into a booster maybe about 15 months? She has a large plastic placemat on the table and then her food on her plate. Just was easier to cleanup in my opinion. Then having to make sure her high chair tray was clean for every meal. Now I just have a few plastic placemats I cycle.
