Fundal height?

So I’m 22 weeks and 2 days pregnant and had my first height of belly done and she said I was measuring 23. Does that mean I’m measuring ahead?

You can measure up to 2cm behind or ahead and it be completely normal. Im 34 and measure 36. No worries.

Fundal height is some crazy stuff. My OB refuses to use fundal height as a measurement of baby size.  The one time my OB was out and I had to see a midwife she scared the life out of me telling me the baby was measuring two weeks ahead. I go to the perinatologist and baby is measuring two weeks behind. That’s a 4 week difference between fundal height and actual fetal measurements.  I would take it with a grain of salt. Baby’s position, extra fluid etc can all factor in to the fundal height especially as you get bigger.

It’s usually + or - 2cm in each direction so you’re pretty much right on target. Also those measurements are not accurate lol

It's just a very rough estimate and doesn't always correlate with the size of the baby. Anything within 2 cm of your gestational age is considered normal, and certain factors, such as having a full bladder,  can make the numbers inaccurate.
