Baby shower for second baby?

I’m having my second baby at the beginning of December. I have a 16 month old daughter and we just found out we are having a boy this time around. Is it tacky to have another baby shower? I have a close friend wanting to throw me one, I just don’t want to seem tacky or anything. Everything we had for my daughter was pink and flowers so I have nothing for this baby really 😊

I mean if someone wants to throw you one let them. Personally I think baby showers are for first time parents though.

It’s not tacky. Every baby can/should be celebrated. I’m having a second one for baby due November, we do it for the food and dancing and being together for the night lol. I don’t have baby shower games or anything. My sons didn’t even look like a shower 
I never even made a registry and won’t again so we got stuff people wanted to buy. Blessed since we didn’t have to buy a single thing but the bottles 💙

I dont think its tacky at all... i think it is a celebration that counts, not necessary the gifts. You are celebrating a new life and he also deserves to be spoiled with new blue things. Perhaps just have a smaller shower like a spinkle for him???

The girls at my works always called the 2nd baby shower a "sprinkle" cause its jot as big as the first one but still good to have one. I thought the name was cute lol

I think everyone should be able to celebrate every baby regardless of genitals or age gap if they want to. We really need to retire the word tacky. It’s sounds stuck up and snotty to me. I wouldn’t invite anyone with that kind of attitude if I was having another shower for another kid. Family and friends generally like to get to their to celebrate a baby, play games and eat good food.

I did one for my sister’s 2nd for the same reason. Made it smaller, just very close friends and family, called it a sprinkle instead of a shower
