Doctor pushing birth control??

Anyone else’s doctor really pushing birth control? I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant. She mentioned it multiple times at my last appointment even though I said I wasn’t interested. She continued to bring up which ones would be safe while breastfeeding and hopes that I will have narrowed down my choices by my next apt??? Slightly annoyed.

Firmly tell them to put in your charts that you are not interested in birth control. They just want you to be safe but should not be overly pushy once you’ve stated your wants for your own body.

They usually push it as you’re extremely fertile after giving birth, in the uk they wait until your 6 week appointment (post partum) usually unless you make an app before that, or as the midwife teaching the prenatal classes said they send the high risk patients home with the coil or implant 🙈

Literally my first appt they asked me what abc I wanted after birth and I said none. Have never taken a pill or anything and it all worked perfectly fine for the six years I’ve been with my husband until we were TTC. They were definitely taken aback at first but let it go. It’s annoying when they try to push you into something you don’t want to do.

My doctor has done it at every appointment. Got annoyed at my 28 week appointment and told her put the mini pill down but the reality is I’m not taking crap and I just wanted her to shut the hell up.

They asked me 5 times while in labor and at my pp check up if I wanted birth control it’s super annoying but they’re trying to make sure you know your options

I told my Doctor that we would most likely be using condoms in the beginning and I would let her know if I wanted to switch to the mini pill later on... I had an IUD for years and was not a fan so my husband and I both agreed we would avoid that this time around.
