When Should Kids Know How to Wipe Themselves?

Just curious what age their toddlers were fully potty trained.

Definitely by 3.5-5!

I would say they should know - as in know why it’s done & when at age 2 or so. But doing it successfully I’d say 3+.

Where I live the pre-K classes require by 4 with NO assistance. I haven’t potty trained yet. I asked my mom and she said she stopped helping me at 4.5 right before I started kindergarten.

My daughter has only used the potty a handful of times (2.5) but she knows how to wipe from watching me and will do it any time she goes on the potty with out me having to tell her”hey wipe” so it all depends on the kid

I don’t think they’d have the coordination and ability to do a successful/thorough job after a poop until 3.5-5. 
Pee is different. Much easier.
