My midwife annoys me

So I have a midwife I go to (I actually see 4 different midwives) and just curious, I see so many women on here that get to schedule inductions before they are even 40 weeks... My midwife says they would possibly let me go passed 42 if my placenta was still working properly 😳 it makes me want to cry thinking about it! They also refuse to check for any dilation or effacement & wont do any guesses on how big my baby is. Is this normal?

I literally leave pissed off every single week... I know my baby is alive and safe right now so I want him now!! I feel like it’ll give me so much anxiety if he is still in there after my due date! 😑
