I’m due any day with our second baby. After I delivered our first baby, my husband’s family was kind of overbearing. They came to the hospital and waited in the lobby (even though we said we didn’t want that) and came in the room within an hour of his birth. Afterwards, we had unannounced visitors (his extended family) at our home all hours of the day and I was very unhappy about it. This time, I haven’t heard a peep from his family members throughout my pregnancy, and I told my husband I would like for him to let them know that we will not be having visitors at the hospital or at our home until we get settled. My husband is a very soft spoken person and “doesn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings”. I have a feeling they will try to run the show again. Do I just give in & let them do whatever? How do I handle this being that it’s my husband’s family doing it and not my own? I just don’t want any unnecessary drama during this time.
