I think nursing bras are a must, but if your regular tanks are stretchy and deep enough then it’s not really and issue to pop the boob out. It also might depend on your boob size? I can only speak to smaller boobs. At first I lived in my nursing tanks while at home on maternity leave because they were so easy, but eventually I just started wearing nursing bras and my regular v-neck or scoop neck tops.

I would wear nursing tanks around the house. Then nursing bra with a stretchy maternity tank and some kind of shirt when I left the house. I’d pull the shirt up so it covered the top of my breast, stretch the tank down and pulled nursing bra down. I have a really large chest so I was more comfortable having something covering my top (and my belly) than just wearing a nursing tank out and about.
