Is there a way to get the grilled hotdog taste, indoors?

We don't have a grill, can't have one at our apartment, but I'm wondering if I can somehow make a hotdog have that Smokey, slightly char taste. 
I guess not just with hotdogs, but anything. Burgers, chicken, corn on the cob, etc.

Buy a grill pan. We have one and works nicely to give chicken and burgers a nice sear

we have a big george foreman, also you can put them on a grill pan (think thats what theyre called & broil in the oven for like a minute (thats how i make smores 😂)

Yes cast iron pans work great in getting you a “grill” flavor

Just in a pan or in the oven you can still get some crisp to it. Invest in a George Foreman grill!
