Vomiting a sign of labor??

Hi everyone, I’m just looking for some feedback on what I’m going through. So exactly a week from today (last Thursday) I was told I was 3cm dilated and 70% effaced. They said they don’t think I’ll make it to 39 weeks (I was 36 & 2 days when they checked) I’m now 37 weeks and 2 days. Anyways, last night I probably got 2-3 hours of sleep due to the back and stomach pain. I was also having a few small contractions, well actually they were super painful and took my breathe away and I could barley move.

I went into my appt. today for another nst and ultrasound. Well, they said everything looked good but I can’t stop puking. I’ve thrown up like 7-8 times today already. They said I’m now 80% effaced but still 3cm dilated. I was just wondering if the vomiting could be a sign that labor is near? I know I feel absolutely miserable though.
