I want to start off saying I’m 5 weeks 3 days pregnant and I went to the er yesterday for vaginal bleeding and minor cramps in abdominal and lower back. I know bleeding in early pregnancy can be normal but I’m a little scared and looking for some opinions or someone who has been through this. The dr at the hospital gave me a pelvic examination and I had blood drawn and a vaginal ultrasound, he came back after 5 hours later to tell me he can’t see a sac or a baby( early in pregnancy) so he is thinking threatened abortion which is a early miscarriage, or it can be ectopic. He said he’s not going to rule out any of those and I’m still showing a positive pregnancy test so I have to go back to the er tomorrow to check my hcg hormones right now they are at 1900 which he said if it goes up my pregnancy is moving along but with complications because of my bleeding. I’m not having any pregnancy symptoms at all it just feels like I’m on my period. Just hearing the words threatened abortion and ectopic is a possibility scares me. Has anyone got these answeres before and actually had a safe and healthy pregnancy? Or should I prepare myself? This is my second pregnancy and my last menstral date was June 10
