Weight?
So I have a question!
I have two sons, an almost 3 year old and an almost 2 year old. When they were born my first was only 6lbs 8.6oz (I assume it was because of the preeclampsia and hypertension that I had) and my second was 8lbs 5oz.
I'm currently 31 weeks and 1 day with another little boy. Now my problem is that I'm thinking that he will be an even BIGGER baby. At 21 weeks 1 day he was measured to be 15oz. I had another ultrasound at 27 weeks and 1 day and he was 2lbs 6oz.
Today I had an OBGYN visit and I mentioned his weight. She offered to check my stomach and said he did feel like a bigger baby. (I had been saying that he was going to be bigger than the other two boys.) We discussed the weights of bigger babies that cause C sections and it was something around 450 grams - I have no clue what that translates into for weight. She offered to put in for another ultrasound to check his weight. I'd like to throw in that I've had some minor complications that would've resulted in a c section but seemed to have resolved themselves.
I guess my questions are: has anyone here experienced this? Did each of their babies get bigger? Were the ultrasound weights relatively accurate with your babies? If given the option for a c section should I take it or should I just carry on with a vaginal and see how it goes as my labor progresses? Do I need to continue preparing for a bigger boy (clothes and diapers)? Do I need to prepare for a c-section?
I'm just a bit nervous of the fact that I just got out of the woods with a very possible c section and now I might have to have another one if he's too big. I'd like to have a natural, no epidural birth and I don't want a wrench to be thrown into the plan so to speak.
Thank you in advance!
