Pool day during heat advisory?

I have plans to visit a friend on Sunday for a pool day. She has a nice pool that we plan to use (first time!) but there is a heat advisory it’s going to be 100 degrees with lots of humidity. Obviously we can keep our visit shorter, and she does have a house I’m sure we could retreat too but is it okay to take babe swimming? I’d cover him up, keep him wet, and nurse often. What would you do? Our plans are at midday. She has a baby too.

We went today and it was about that hot. I kept him in the shade when we weren’t in the pool and have been trying to sneak in an extra ounce when he’ll take it to make sure he’s hydrated.

Definitely go! You cant avoid the outside just because it's hot! How boring would your summer be lol cover up and enjoy! You could restrict sun exposure by not swimming at peak times e.g. between 11am-3pm

I personally would not. That’s so hot for a baby that can’t regulate their temperature. Ask your pediatrician

Try and keep the baby in the shade. If it's not possible I wouldn't bring your baby in the pool. There are suits that cover his whole body and maybe a hat or something for his face
