Moving tips with a less than week old?

So I am having our baby Monday the 29th. We are moving Thursday-Sunday (hopefully vaginally). Obviously I can’t do much. Any tips to make the move smoother? And how much do y’all think I’ll be able to help move VERY light items?

Hun you won’t be able to do anything so just accept that and hire a team to box whatever is left and have them move everything into correctly labeled rooms.

I had a zero complication birth and the women’s health physio told me to lift nothing heavier then my newborn for the first 6 weeks.

No you can’t help with this move. You will likely be in the hospital until Wednesday if it’s vaginal and longer if you need a c-section. Once you’re home, your baby will be needing to eat every hour or two and will need constant supervision. You will also still be bleeding out of your vagina, a lot, and likely needing to change your diaper/mega pad every hour or two. Not to mention baby’s diaper.

Plan on nothing, even blankets. Not to be discouraging but I was induced on a Thursday and still hadn’t had her by Saturday so they took her c-section on Saturday. We were both healthy, and things went perfectly smooth, I’m just saying you don’t know what’s going to happen at all. So you need to plan on not doing a darn thing except holding the baby lol.

I had my baby via a natural birth - no induction or assistance. It was our first and the entire labour lasted less than 11 hours so I had 3 significant internal tears which all needed to be stitched. 
By around day 4 I was starting to feel much better and was able to wash and hang the laundry etc. and was walking a lot more comfortably too. I think as long as you feel able to do so, you’ll be okay to move some of the lighter boxes and if not, you could always take responsibility for unpacking. Just don’t push yourself too much as it could end up making your recovery longer!
