I know I shouldn’t be upset but I am. We told the in-laws today that we are pregnant. Which was a big deal for me seeing as my dad is dead and I haven’t spoken to my mother in years and I have no family except my husband. I am 9 weeks pregnant today, which I know is early but we’ve known since 3 weeks. Anyway, my husbands parents were SUPER sweet and supportive. But we just had a call with his brother, he lives out of state. And he was pissed that when he had a call with their mother she didn’t tell him. I said “well you’re going to be an uncle” and my husband said “ usually the people having the baby are the ones to tell people” which we both said nicely. And he replied “well I’m going to be a very busy uncle for the next year” then proceeded to say “well if you guys think you’re stable enough for it right now congrats. But keep me posted on what you do” my husband thinks he was implying an abortion! We planned this baby and my mother in-law was so excited but she favors his brother so I’m worried that’ll mess up the mood between us.. which sucks because I was looking forward to having a mother figure around..
