Does spotting before positive mean another chemical pregnancy?

I have been trying to conceive for the past 3 years. Have had totally normal infertility workup and been told by my REI to do <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">IVF</a> but we keep hoping it’ll happen naturally.

For the last two days (dpo 9-10) I have had light to darker brown discharge though only light flow and nothing red.

This morning (dpo11) it stopped and on a whim I checked a pregnancy test and it is positive!

I am so nervous it’ll be another chemical pregnancy.

Anyone else have successful pregnancy with spotting early on?

I am having the same thing now. Had a chemical in September. Had spotting then at 10 dpo, a positive, then a chemical. I now have spotting at 10 dpo again and I’m nervous. If you don’t mind me asking, what happened in your situation?

Always with bleeding let your doctor know.  With that said: All four of my pregnancies I bled.  With my chemical it was definitely heavier than spotting, pink and red and never once stopped, just got heavier progressively and my tests got lighter.  My other miscarriage I had red bleeding off and on for about 9 weeks with a subchorionic hemorrhage, but the baby had apparently stopped growing at some point after our 6 week ultrasound.  And that was definitely heavy for most of that time, not brown spotting.  Like you just knew it wasn’t right because I had some form of bleeding every day for the whole 9 weeks.  Both times I had thought I legit had started my period and didn’t test until a few days later because my breasts hurt so badly.  With my 7 year old I had red spotting that would come and go and was diagnosed with a subchorionic hemorrhage and with my 9 year old I had a friggin spectrum of spotting and bleeding that they never fully figured out.  Said it could have been late implantation bleeding, maybe I had a super sensitive cervix, or placenta previa that “fixed” itself as the baby grew...they had no clue.  If it’s not a flow and it’s stopped I’d say it’s probably a good sign and just implantation bleeding making its way out.
