Should plea deals be abolished?

Certain crimes, absolutely should not be allowed lesser sentences just to get a conviction. However, there are times where the case isn't quite string enough and getting these fucking cop out plea deals is the only justice a victim might be able to get. I fucking hate it.

Governments do not have the resources to try every case, nor is a trial desirable in many cases (e.g., when a trial would re-traumatize the victim or the victim’s family). If plea deals were abolished, it would create an enormous backlog in the court system and most defendants would end up going free because there is no way the government would be able ensure their constitutional right to a speedy trial.

No.  I took a plea deal because court stressed me out so bad i did nothing but sit on my couch and drink for two weeks straight. I didn't even eat.  My grandmother had to force me to eat, every time I went to court it kept getting pushed out further and further
I was tired of being on probation and just told my lawyer to take a plea deal. Best thing I ever did.  In the end I wasn't even convicted, I was put on deffered adjudication.
Long story short... No, everyone has a right for a plea deal.

I think plea deals and pay outs for sexual assault victims both need to be abolished it’s wrong.

This is a tricky one because sometimes it’s for the sake of the victim not the accused. In my case the man who sexually assaulted and abused me as a child was given a plea deal, the prosecutor consulted me on it and if I wanted to I could’ve let it go to trial. 
I didn’t want to take it to trial because;
1) it had been 3 years just to get to that point already and it’d be another 2-3 years before I’d get a trial date. 
2) the sentence was likely to remain the same as the plea deal anyways. 
Even with a full confession it was still a back and forth for months on end with the prosecutor just for what he’d admit guilt to on record. It even came down to wording and what age I was that he’d admit the abuse happened at. My victim impact statement was reviewed by the defense and they were able to cherry pick what I was allowed and not allowed to say on record, that also went back and forth for months. Everything was so picked apart it wore me down into an anxious, depressed mess. So, when the prosecutor came to me with the offer they would put on the table to end it all I was so desperate for it to be over that I accepted. 
My mental health was in such a bad state I even began having seizures from the stress of it all. Even after he was sentenced and was allowed to address the court room the only apology he had to offer for sexually assaulting a child hundreds of times for years was for embarrassing his family and girlfriend who all very vocally regarded me as a villainous bitch.

Should plea deals be abolished?
