Contractions?

Has anyone ever confused their baby moving for contractions? I am having a feeling where my entire stomach gets really tight and it hurts but I thought it was him pushing out or rolling. How do I know if I'm having actual contractions

That’s what happened to me with my first. It was Braxton-Hicks. I actually had a Dr. appt and in the waiting room every 5 minutes he would “ball up”. I told the doctor and she said sounds like contractions. Sure enough I was hooked up and it was! But I had totally thought it was the baby balling up!

Yes! Every time my dr asks me if I’ve had contractions I’m like 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ I don’t know! I told her sometimes I can’t tell if it’s a BH or pressure from baby moving and she said that’s completely normal. Everyone has told me when real contractions start I will know it! Lol. No one can really explain it other than saying “oh you will know” okay then 🤷🏻‍♀️

Exactly what it feels like lol. Only way I know the difference is it gets really tight at the top of my tummy and I feel intense period cramps. When it’s him moving I don’t have the pain.
