I thought I had a doc appt but ended up putting on an exhibition show

So I had my 37 week doctor appointment this evening. So like usual, I’m told to undress from the waist down. The nurse steps out and I’m like, “oh ok, I’ve got a few minutes, this is fine.” My husband is in the room mind you so he’s all like, “ohhh, get ready for the doc!”

This beached whale is literally flopping like a fish with no water trying to get my pants down (also, mind you, literally just got my nails done before this appointment for the wedding I’m in on Saturday so I’m being extra cautious too). That’s when I hear a knock at the door. I freeze mid pant pull like a squirrel that got caught with too many nuts in their mouth at once and look up to see the doctor and nurse about to come in! I’m all like, well this is awkward 😳 So both the doctor and nurse apologize and walk back out.

Finally after that awkward encounter, I finish up and sit on the table now fully undressed from the waist down waiting for them to get back. Tick tock on the clock! So my husband to be funny back says, “here, I’ll knock back on the door to let them know that you’re ready!” Thankfully he didn’t but honestly, I think it would have been funny.

Moral of the story? I actually don’t know if there is a moral of the story but I think once you reach a certain week in pregnancy, extra time should be given to undress. If not, the doctor and nurse are surely going to get a view of all the lady bits 🤣

Oh and after all that? The shop is still closed up! No change from last week. To be continued...
