Ovulation Kit -- Help Me?

Hey guys!! So, I just got an ovulation kit today. I'm a little confused on what I'm doing. 🤦😂
So, my last period was like 43 days... The period before that was 20 days... So, do I start testing 5 days into my next cycle or 20 days before my next cycle?? Any help with this would be much appreciated!!

Same as you I have irregular cycle, anywhere between 22-31days....been advised to go with shortest cycle and start testing based on those dates xx

With an irregular cycle I would test every day... I get it that you don’t want to start too early and waste tests but you also want to ensure you don’t miss it!  If you haven’t already look into buying a cheap strip kind online (I use easy@home).
