Formula fed babies how many times a day is it normal for a newborn to poop?

My baby is 8 days old and shes on gerber soothe she seems fine but only concern i have is that she only poops one time a day and when she does she gets really really red and its like shes struggling to poop, she doesnt cry or anything im just worried the formula is causing her that. This is my first time i exclusively formula feed so
